Neighborhood comparison.
Alex’s friend, the Silvas, live in the same city, but in a different neighborhood. Read the two sentences and compare the neighborhoods, using the adjective in parentheses.
Example: The Silva’s neighborhood doesn’t have any garbage on the street.
Alex’s neighborhood has a lot of garbage on the street (clean).
Comparison: The Silva’s neighborhood is cleaner than Alex’s.
1. There are three groceries, two Laundromats, and many other stores in the Silvas’ neighborhood. There are only two stores in Alex’s neighborhood (convenient)
2. The Silvas’ neighborhood has clean streets and many trees. Alex’s neighborhood has dirty streets and few trees.
3. There are many crimes in Alex’s neighborhood. There are few crimes in the Silvas’ neighborhood. (dangerous)
4. Alex’s building is sixty-three years old. The Silva’s building is ten years old. (old)
